Ok I guess in Africa it seems a
family isn’t complete without the cries of a baby or babies. Guess that’s why
Sylvia and her hubby are yearning earnestly to find a solution to their
childlessness.
When a couple are in search of the fruit of the
womb, they are often faced by several realities which includes medical
restrictions or just a need to keep trying and be patient. For Sylvia and Dave,
there seems to be hope but what of couples despite their healthy
state, they are caught in between the need to just wait.
In the western world, we see
couples going out of their way to insist on not having kids. But hey we are in
Naija! and being childless after a long period of marriage isn’t so pretty so
what is the way forward? Do we need reorientation on the issue of insisting on
having children in a marriage at least to ease off the pressure on couples or
is it ok to search for children against all odds. At least children are always
blessings to every family. So share your thoughts, do Africans need
reorientation on insisting that a family is not complete without kids or is it
ok for couples to strive helter skelter to have kids.
