Five years after the demise
of Preye Wright, the new season explores how his family have progressed since
their unfortunate loss. Sophia, Preye’s widow appears to have moved on after
the death of her husband.
As the only parent in the
family she is forced to rise up to the occasion of greater responsibility in
keeping her family together and going. She is learning to become the strong
pillar that she needs to be for her kids.
Sylvia, the family’s first child has now been married for
two years but without a child. While she is under no pressure from her husband
or in-laws, her desire for a child leads her to take some secret measures that
eventually lead to the unravelling of other secrets.
While Tonye battles alcohol addiction as he tries to get
his life and music career back on track again, he soon discovers that record
labels and music industry execs largely want nothing to do with a washed up,
has-been superstar. What becomes of him and how long can he stay clean?
Kare is fresh from law school and a newly employed lawyer
in a reputable law firm. It is not long before she gets caught up in office
politics and makes an enemy of the vindictive Omotola DaCosta.
Timi resumes as a Director at his late father’s company.
He is to be groomed to take over the reins from the present MD, Engr. Adeleke.
The role was actually meant for Tonye as first son, but has now fallen on a
seemingly reluctant Timi. Engr. Adeleke also seems to have other ideas about
Timi’s position in the establishment.
The producer of the series,
Olaegbe Olatubosun describes the new season as one laced with morals, and
life’s lessons even as it performs its primary objective of entertaining.
“Much like the others, this
season comes with its own flavour of intrigue and suspense. It took a lot for
us to put this together and the idea is for us to give viewers their worth. We are
showing the eight season now and we are currently shooting the ninth season,”
he said.
The award winning TV series
which has been airing since 2009 stars the likes of Sola Fosudo, Age Anthony,
Chiebolam Tessy Oragwa, Henry Arnold, Tomi Ojo, Tobi Ajayi. and Seun Jimoh. The
TV series airs weekly on AIT Network on Wednesdays at 7pm.
